Della
Smith, partner, has been described as being "strategic
to the bone". She earned this reputation by delivering innovative,
workable communications strategies for companies and organizations
across Canada for more than 30 years.
Della specializes in crisis and issues management,
and is called upon for her quick thinking, experience, and intuition
to provide direction on sensitive, critical matters. She has vast
experience in facilitation, presentation and media training, working
with organizations in virtually every industry as well as all levels
of government.
Della is a frequent guest speaker for associations,
conferences and communications organizations. Della currently sits
on the Board of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Authority
of BC.
Patsy
Worrall, partner, has put virtually all the tools of communications
in her belt during her 25 year career. Using a disciplined approach
to assessing client needs, she provides a take-charge approach to
strategic counsel and project management, never missing details
and always delivering results. Her strong background in marketing
public relations allows her to give clients a fresh and creative
approach to promoting their products and/or services.
Patsy’s passion is social marketing, and
she has successfully moved public opinion on issues and community
concerns for numerous projects. Her other expertise includes negotiation
and implementation of successful partnership programs, communications
planning, and creative development of media relations strategies
that deliver results.
Patsy has invested her time and energy into many
community groups and charitable organizations in the Lower Mainland.
She is currently a trustee of the YMCA Endowment Fund and a member
of the board of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
Julia Paskovic,
account coordinator, embodies an enthusiasm for public relations and strategic thinking.
With a degree in Psychology from UBC, certification in mediation and web design, and a diploma
in marketing communication from BCIT, Julia brings a diverse range of skills to QUAY. As a team
member, Julia lends a competitive spirit and strategic focus to her work with a particular
interest in research, writing and new media. Event management also comes easily to Julia who
has executed special events and award ceremonies.
Fareedah Rasoul Kim, account coordinator, provides a
solid focus and attention to detail to every project. Fareedah has
a passion for event coordination, and has supported the development
and execution of promotional events for products and services in
both the private and public sectors. Fareedah also has built solid
working relationships with local and national media – executing
numerous successful media relations programs for organizations in
various sectors. A graduate of BCIT’s Marketing Communications
program, Fareedah thrives in the fast pace and diverse interest
of agency work. Born in Abu-Dhabi and raised in Montreal, Fareedah
speaks French fluently and brings an understanding of other cultures
to her work at QUAY.
Julie Owen, account coordinator, possesses a strong
ability to communicate strategically and effectively. With a passion
for public relations, Julie has coordinated and executed media relations
programs with national and international media outlets as well as
executed large-scale media events. With a degree in Sociology from
UVIC and a public relations certificate from Langara, Julie has
a particular interest in life sciences. Julie also enjoys writing.
She has the creativity and insight to put thoughts and messages
into the right words.
