Media relations: A country’s
tourism board hired QUAY to encourage Canadians to travel to their
destination. The client has no advertising budget for the Canadian
market therefore QUAY has generated tourism interest through a comprehensive
media relations plan.
QUAY identified key Canadian media to participate
in the client’s International Media Program, and pitched journalists
to write stories and feature articles on the international destination.
This has resulted in hundreds of articles in major publications
and media outlets. QUAY created a comprehensive database of over
800 tourism journalists and regularly writes and distributes releases
to this group.
The result of this initiative has been a steady
increase in travel to this country by Canadians.
